The short version

We built BlackMantis to help people find RBI circulars quickly. We are not interested in your data beyond what is strictly needed to run the service. No accounts. No tracking. No selling data to anyone.

All RBI circulars indexed on BlackMantis are sourced from publicly available documents published by the Reserve Bank of India. We do not claim ownership over them.

What we collect

When you use BlackMantis, here is what we receive:

• The question you type, which is passed to our search system to generate your answer. It is not stored against any identity.
• Basic technical information like your browser type, used only if something breaks and we need to investigate.
• Payment reference numbers if you subscribe to a paid plan. Your card details go directly to our payment processor and never reach us.

Your query count and subscription status are stored in your own browser, on your device. We cannot read that remotely.

Third party services

BlackMantis relies on a few external services to function. Each handles a specific part of the experience: AI inference, vector search, payment processing, and hosting. We have chosen providers with strong security practices and do not share your data with them beyond what is needed for those specific functions.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to know what data we hold, correct anything inaccurate, and ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw consent at any time.

Updates to this policy

If we make meaningful changes here, the effective date at the top will reflect that. Continuing to use BlackMantis after a change means you are okay with the updated terms. If you are not, you are always free to stop using the service.
